The interviews carried out for this report indicate an emerging framework in the Netherlands consisting of elements of individual liberalism, anti-discrimination legislation, visions on human rights and equal treatment that is used and proclaimed to make decisions in religious conflicts. This obviously leaves less room for reasonable accommodation when conflicts arise and leads to more heated conflicts between religious groups and secular models.
