The research-policy dialogues in the domains of migration and integration are increasingly contested. Policymakers often complain about the lack of clear scientific evidence upon which to base their policy decisions. Meanwhile, researchers seem increasingly disenchanted with the impact of their studies and the difficulties of delivering ‘unwelcome messages’. This policy brief presents different ways research-policy dialogues have previously been organised and help inform policymakers and researchers in their work to strengthen the research-policy nexus
