In this article diagnostic procedures are described for the medical diagnosis of patients with aspecific forms of Repetitive Strain Injuries (RSI). Starting point from which the typical symptoms and development of the complaints are described, is the neuromotor noise theory as developed by Van Galen and colleagues. Also, risk factors for the origin of RSI and their consequences for designing an effective therapy are discussed. Finally, therapeutic interventions are proposed for the treatment of patients with serious and chronic RSI complaints
