This essay is an attempt to take seriously Theodor Adorno‘s provocation, not so much about its meaning with regards to the Holocaust, as with regards to the present time. Infact, the meaning of our writing about philosophy, arts and playing depends on the answer to this provocation. Yes, we believe that today, more than ever, the task of philosophy (but also of poetry, literature, music, cinema) once again becomes this: to cause dissatisfaction, anxiety, discomfort; to question the data, not to settle, but to keep looking, probing, dreaming of alternatives; to put thought into play.
