Aim of thethesis: To assess the benefits and drawbacks of the peritoneal cavity drainage after emergency laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Methods: A prospective analysis of emergency laparoscopic cholecystectomy. The participants-patients operated on for acute cholecystitis (ICD-10-AM: K80.00). The study included 20 patients allocated into two groups; group A (n=10) patients with intraoperative drain insertion and group B (n=10) patients without drain insertion. Patients signed informed consent form for this study.
