M.A. (Clinical Social Work)Abstract: Epilepsy is a chronic, neurological disease and a universal disorder that affects the lives of nearly 50 million people worldwide. People living with epilepsy (PWE) have to deal with many challenges and difficulties in their everyday lives and often require care and support to manage their chronic condition. To this end the role of caregivers is acknowledged, particularly in the context in which this study took place, namely a residential facility in Johannesburg, South Africa.
