Hubungan Frekuensi Konsumsi Makanan Kariogenik Dan Kebiasaan Menggosok Gigi Dengan Kejadian Karies Gigi Pada Siswa Kelas III Sdn 1 & 2 Sonuo

Absract : Dental caries is a disease of hard tooth characterized by tissue damage, starting from the surface of the tooth extends toward the pulp. One of the caueses of dental caries is a cariogenic food. Cariogenic food is foods that are containing carbohydrates, sticky and easily disintegrate in the mouth. Another factor is the cause of dental caries is brushing teeth. Brushing teeth is cleaning the teeth of letover food scraps, bakteria and plaque. Goal of analyzing relationship frequency of cariogenic food consumption with the incidences of dental caries and relationship tooth brushing habits with the incidences of dental caries. Design is analitycal observational, with using planning cross sectional. Sampel taken by Total Sampling which approximately amount around 69 respondences. Research result on both the analysis use chi-square test obtained p value = 0,000 smaller than á < 0,05. Conclusion is there is a relationship frequency of cariogenic food consumption with the incidences of dental caries and there is a relationship tooth brushing habits with the incidences of dental caries. Suggestion can be used as information for the students of elemantary school 1 & 2 Sonuo such as counseling to the incidences of dental caries caused by frequency of cariogenic food consumption and tooth brushing habits
