Analysis Information System of Mother and Child Health in Health Service of Musi Banyuasin Regent

Background: The acceleration of AKI, AKB, and AKABA in Indonesia needs to handle and plan rapidly and properly. The KIA information system needs in order to accommodate the qualified information for arranging a good planning. The objective of this research is to analyze the KIA information system in Work field for Health service in Musi Banyuasin Regent. Method: The research design is descriptive study with qualitative approach. The information obtained through detail interview toward nine informants which have been observed and studied the documents. The data analyses used content analysis. The validity test used the triangulation of sources, method, and data. Result: The specific policy has not applied yet to regulate of the implementation of the KIA information system as well as managing the specific budget allocation and facilitating the specific information technology of the KIA information system. Provided SDM in KIA information system however it needs more strategy to improve the competency in SIK and TIK. The collective application data of KIA are available, yet it is inadequacy. The source of KIA service data is only available in Puskesmas there are no data from the other health institutions and it is still retardation of the report collection and Puskesmas also uses conventional method. Conclusion: The KIA Information system in Musi Banyuasin has applied however it still needs the improvement. The Health Service needs to make the specific policy in order to regulate comprehensively of the implementation and the strengthening of KIA information system, with allocating specific budget, the distribution of TI facilitation until to the local Puskesmas and village to regulate the SIK and TIK training schedules in order to enhance the SDM competency, it makes written policy of the report collection with administrative fine, and arrange SPO with exchanging data coordination of the other health service units. Therefore in the future, the information system can run optimally and can result the qualified data or information to overcome the problem involved KIA
