Relationship Nutrition Intake, Knowledge and Stimulation Mother with Growth and Development Prescholl Children Kindergarten Handayani Dan Teratai Small Hill District 26 Ilir Palembang 2014

Background: Kindergarten Handayani and Teratai is working territories of merdeka health centers. Based on preliminary studies conducted in both the kindergarten, of the 18 children there are two children with malnutrition status and the children with poor nutritional status as well as two children who doubted gross motor development. This means there are children in the preschool delayed growth and gross motor development. Method: This study was a quantitative study, used analytical-descriptive survey method with cross-sectional design. Sample of this study were 55 children of both TK based on inclusion criteria. Jenuh sampling technique was uses to get the sample. Technique for analyzing the data on univariat and bivariat scale with chi-square statistic test. The data showed in p-value analysis, Ratio Prevalence (RP) and 95% Confidence Interval (CI). Results: A relationship between energy intake (p value=0.047), carbohydrate intake (p=value0,007), vitamin A (p value 0.028) and the knowledge of the mother (p value=0.002) with the nutritional status of children. There is no relationship between the intake of protein (0.641), fat (p value=0.711), iron (p value=0.252), zinc (p value=1.000), and stimulation of the mother with the child's nutritional status. There is a relationship between energy intake (p value=0.022), protein (p value=0.001), iron (p value=0.020), zinc (p value=0.048) and maternal stimulation (p value=0.017) with gross motor development of children preschool. There is no relationship between carbohydrate intake (p value= 0.080), fat (p value=0.100), vitamin A (p value=0.709) and maternal knowledge (0.080) with gross motor development of preschool children. Conclusion: It can be concluded that the intake of energy, carbohydrates and knowledge affect maternal nutritional status of preschool children.
