A 46 Years Old Woman with Gouty Arthritis, High Purin Intake and Work as a Servant

Gouty arthritis is a disease which one of its manifestation is joints inflammation and is affected by high purin intake. Family approach is important in management of purin intake and the biopsychosocial factors. Application of holistic and comprehensive family-approach for intern and extern factors identification of gouty arthritis. Problem solving based on Evident Based Medicine with family-approach and patient-centered. This was a case report. Primary data were obtained from anamnesis, physical examination, and home visits. Secondary data were obtained from medical record. 46 years old woman came with pain and handcramp. Intern factors from this patient were her profession as a servant, lack in knowledge about her disease, high purin intake, curative medication seeker behavior, and rarely excercise. Psycosocial aspects were lack in family\u27s support and knowledge about gout. Nonpharmacologycal and pharmacologycal management with family approach able to intervere the factors and increase the quality of patient\u27s life
