Traffic Light Controller Menggunakan Media RF

There are some ways in controlling traffic light, such as with networking and standalone system. Both of the systems actually can work well, but there are some problems that have to be solved. The networking system problem is very complicated cable network system development. Standalone system problem is about controlling, because if setting from traffic light will be changed, then one has to come to place where the traffic light lies. So it needs a solution for setting the traffic light without using cable network. Such system is long distance controller traffic light using radio frequency media as its medium which delivered through Handy Talky. The system which has been built is accessible by using PC (or notebook) which is connected to radio modem. There are six modes and three conditions in this traffic light system. Each of them can be used based on traffic condition. AT89C51 microcontroller functions as a tool to control the system and process the data which is received from PC. The software at PC is designed by using Delphi 7.0 programming language with serial connection through port RS232. From the experiment result, this system have some advantages. For example, more practical which compare with using cable network and more efficient wich compare with standalone traafic light in traffic light setting
