Kerjasama Ekonomi Internasional Sebagai Solusi Pengelolaan Kawasan Perbatasan Negara (Studi Kasus Indonesia)

The border region is a strategic area in maintaining the territorial integrity of the state, it would require special management. The purpose of this study discusses the various kinds of problems by looking at International cooperation and implementation. Khsususnya in the practice of International cooperation Indonesia. This research method uses normative-empirical legal studies to understand the norms of the law to the facts. The technique used to obtain data and facts in order to discussion of the problem of this research is to use the research literature in the form of books, literature, dictionaries, articles in magazines, scientific journals, bulletins and also documentation on official documents related to Cooperation and managing International border areas obtained from internet access. To complement the primary data interviews were open ended to some informants associated with this study. Data were analyzed using a qualitative approach. Results of the study is that the management of state borders and border areas can be done with an approach to security, increased prosperity and environmental sustainability and the development of local culture. Therefore, it is recommended prioritizing the efforts of non-militaristic approach through the use of International cooperation in the improvement of the natural potential of the border region through the establishment of a special economic zone border region
