Pengalaman Keluarga Dalam Merawat Lanjut Usia Dengan Diabetes Mellitus

Family Experiences in Caring for Elderly with Diabetes Melitus. Experience in caring for elderly with DM adversely affect our physical, emotional, social and economic. The aim of this study was to explore the experience of family in caring elderly with DM in Tasikmalaya City, West Java. This qualitative descriptive phenomenology study involved eight family caregivers who care for elderly with DM as participants which selected by criterion sampling. Data was collected by in-depth interview and field notes which was analyzed by applying Collaizi\u27s method. The result of study identified themes, the ability to carry out the health task of family, psychological response, physical response, economic response and response of role in family.
