The Premature Labour is defined as the spontaneous occurrence of the labour between 20 and 37 incomplete weeks of pregnancy. The searches about additional information related to prematurity have been increased, since the adverse perinatal outcomes can be the source of diseases and long term incapacities in new-borns. Due to the similarity in infections’ pathogenesis by distance derived from gram negative microorganisms there are thoughts about the possibility of the Periodontal Disease be acting as an additional risk factor to the premature birth.
