To illustrate their geographic dispersion and political diversity, this chapter presents readers with a map and a selected list of Sub-National Island Jurisdictions (SNlJs) around the world. Further information on the islands in the list can be found in the online SNIJ database available from the University of Prince Edward Island, Canada. This online research tool has provided a major resource for the papers presented in "Pulling Strings" and deserves a few words by way of background.peer-reviewe
