This thesis is based on three theoretical fields which refer to cooperation on a project : organizational commitment, professional identity and strategic participation. The empirical study is mainly based on a longitudinal case study of a car project - the Laguna's replacement- and uses qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis. This work leads to four conclusions. First, it points out that the matrix organization can result in power conflicts on financial and human resources and in intricacy in the decision-making process.
