Atmospheric particles are responsible for 3.2 million deaths per year, this mortality is due to heart diseases, bronchial diseases or cancers. Numerous epidemiological and toxicological studies associate the lung cancer prevalence increase with exposure to air pollution and particularly fine particulate matter (PM2.5).
