The present work has as study object the State School Cônego Monte, located in Natal, in the state of Rio Grande do Norte. It is characterized by being a school with foundations in Catholicism, created by the Diocese of the Natal, in the 1940s, as an educational and welfare stamp institution. The school is part today of the state education system, maintaining, however, a number of practices and representations of the Catholic Church, highlighting the presence of religious symbols integrating its architectural structure.
