Background and aim of the study: Patients with asymptomatic aortic stenosis (AS) may have left ventricular systolic dysfunction (LVSD) defined as an impairment of the circumferential and/or longitudinal (C&L) myocardial fibers, despite a preserved left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF).
