Contro la metafora. Deleuze e Guattari su Kafka

In the book of 1975 Kafka. Pour une literature mineure, Deleuze and Guattari write about the work of Franz Kafka as a fundamental example of a literature able to ‘deterritorialize’ language, to connect the individual with the political, to have collective value. Making a ‘minor’ or ‘intensive’ use of language means, first of all, to abandon a communicative, symbolic or metaphoric use, to avoid psychoanalytical, moral or intimate interpretations. The article deals with these features of Kafka’s work and emphasizes how literature represents one of the largest opportunity to grasp life as becoming and immanence. Literature can ‘countereffect’ the language, turning it from a symbol to be interpreted into a simple literalness to be experienced. Such a process makes possible a relationship with the plan of life that does not recover in a mere imitation
