Abstract. This article applies the postulates Robert Lado's contrastive lexicology to the study of Spanish and Italian political language. The proposed terms come mainly from 'Diario de Sesiones del Congreso de los Diputados', they are followed by Italian translations. In this study we will, then, deal with the "obvious" false friends and especially with the "illusory" between the Italian and Spanish political language. In addition, we want to point out that the mechanism of transferring from one language to another of the compound and altered words is not always automatic since between two similar languages \u200b\u200bone can speak of homology and not of identity.Resumen.
