International audiencePalaeolakes with Cerastoderma glaucum and alluvial terraces at the eastern margin of the Grand Erg Oriental are radiocarbon dated between 8,300 and 5,500 years B.P. These new data bring another evidence for the presence of cardiums in the continental waters of the Sahara and confirm the extension of the Holocene humid phase over the southern Maghreb.Des paléolacs à Cerastoderma glaucum et des terrasses alluviales observées à la bordure est du Grand Erg Oriental sont datés entre c. 8 300 et 5 500 ans B.P. Cette découverte apporte un nouvel exemple de la présence de cardiums dans les eaux continentales sahariennes et confirme l'extension de la phase humide holocène sur tout le sud du Maghreb
