International audienceA field study conducted in Marrakesh with mixed couples composed of French females and Moroccan males reveals the evolution of migration dynamics to Morocco over the past twenty years. The different profiles studied suggest that, whatever the intensity of romantic attachment, these unions seem prompted by business expectations. If the relationships are emancipatory, they also lead to marginalization and a loss of solidarity within each national group.
