We extend to 3D quantum research about diffraction in time. We find the exact analytic result for diffraction in time of spherical S-waves. The result leads to diffraction patterns of Fraunhofer and Fresnel by a single slit. The dispersive process is an example of transient quantum currents in mesoscopic materials
