Hidrología y fauna acuática de los cenotes de la península de Yucatán.

The hydrological characteristics of the Peninsula of Yucatan have given cause for the systems training limnological very particular, that include exposed and underground waters of origin carstic. The aquatic fauna of the cenotes and caves yucatecos has been studied from principles of this century, emphasizing notorious groups as the fish and macrocrustáceos. However, it is known relatively little about the composition of groups of the microfauna, as the copepada, the ostracoda, anfipoda, the isopoda or the misidacea; several taxa of aquatic invertebrates never they have been studied in the peninsula. In this work is summarized the current state of the knowledge of the peninsular aquatic fauna, emphasizing some groups microfauna and is commented on aspects distributions or biogeographic of some of they. The affected review indicates that though it has been advance recent the microfauna aquatic of the peninsula yet stays little known, hall if take into account the huge own biodiversity of this tropical zone.
