Abstract Positive experiences of job characteristics has been found to associate with job satisfaction. The aim was to investigate the relationships between four dimensions of job characteristics (control, workload, complexity and digitization) and job satisfaction. Furthermore, it was examined whether these relationships differed between respondents with long vs. short employment time. 166 53 employees at Lantmäteriet participated in the survey. Data was selected by a web-based survey. The main results showed through regression analysis a significant positive relationship between control and job satisfaction of the whole group, where the model could explain 14% of job satisfaction.
