International audienceSince a decade, research in phonetics has turned with interest to the description of large corpora of casual speech. This new field of research opens up many opportunities but asks also new questions for phoneticians. Firstly, this paper evaluates the lexical and phonological context in which phonetic realizations are produced. This context is noticeably different from lexical context in read corpora. Next, we address the question of phonetic annotation which is critical for phonetic analyses.
