Geographical Origin of Agricultural Products and Territorial Development. The Campania case

The paper aims to stress the role of the agricultural product linked to the geographical origin in the territorial development. The first part focuses on the cultural features of the typical local agricultural features brought to the light by the researches on this topic. In the second session we draw attention to the relationship between enhancement of the typical product and the territorial development. In order to achieve the expected outcomes the concept of multi-functionality of the agriculture should be properly analyzed. The case of study is devoted to the Regione Campania with the purpose to highlight the movement of multifunctional strategy of agricultural firms towards market expansion and the local employment improvement through innovative tourism practice
