Relevance of the problem and the aim of the work: hypodontia, tooth agenesis - is the developmental absence of one or more, primary or secondary teeth exluding third molar teeth. Teeth agenesis is more common where there is a family member with history of hypodontia. The reported prevalence of hypodontia shows wide variation between different populations, prevalence varying from 2.6 % to 15 %. Hypodontia can occur as an isolated condition (non-syndromic hypodontia) or be associated with a syndrome (syndromic hypodontia).
