Aim: To evaluate the impact of the enzyme extracellular matrix metalloproteinases inducer (EMMRPIN) in morphogenesis of aortic dilatation due do aortic valve stenosis. Objectives: To evaluate the impact and compare the expression of EMMPRIN in aortic samples in patients with and without aortic valve stenosis and dilatative pathology. Results: The expression of EMMPRIN was present and significantly higher in the SMC of aortic walls taken from patients with DPATA when compared with control specimens.
