Estimation of EMG activity of masticatory muscles for patients with facial pain can be useful for diagnosis of myofascial syndrome. Electromyograms of both sides of face for more than 30 patients with this syndrome were collected and analyzed. Electrodes were placed on Masseter and Temporalis muscles and signals of healthy and painful sides of face were compared. Amplitude parameters such as maximal and RMS values were analyzed as well as mean and median frequencies
