In this paper a frequency domain, weighted least squares, sensitivity shaping procedure is presented. Pole placement is used as the basic servo design procedure. Controller overparameterization gives the degree of freedom for shaping the sensitivity function. A benchmark design example shows the capability of the method. The computation is simple making the design suitable for adaptive control
