The book is divided into three parts. All three parts dealwith the Romanian word. Part A: Word stress has not been defined in one rule before. I show how one rule can be applied to nouns, verbs and countnouns of Romanian. The principal method is taken from lexical phonology. Part B: Part A gave me the idea to investigate phonological length in the forms of infinitive, 3sg imperfect and perfect. An experiment was performed and the hypothesis proved. Part C: Word meaning of oral communication verbs in Romanian is what part C deals with. Among other things I show that a communication verb is in a subordinat position to a speech act verb.
