Background Coronary heart disease (CHD) development is complex in origin, with contributions from well-defined lifestyle and not well-determined genetic risk factors. The aim of this study is to report the relationship between certain SNPs and the risk of cardiovascular (CV) complications in patients with CAD confirmed by coronary angiography. Methods In the present study, 1345 subjects with CHD were included. The median follow-up period was 8.6 years. 19 SNPs were investigated for any association with Major Advanced CV Events (MACE), Acute Coronary Syndromes (ACS) and Revascularizations.
