This report is a documentation and analyse of the bindings of the Skara Missal belonging to the diocesan and provincial library of Skara in Sweden. The Missal is dated to the 12th century and bound in two bindings. The boards of binding no 2 have been examined with dendro-chronological methods and dated after 1264. The two bindings are different in many aspects; both of them showing technical features from the 12th to the 15the century. The bindings are most likely not executed at the same time or by two binders using different binding techniques. They are a good example of how the rebinding of manuscripts was performed in Sweden during the Middle Ages
