The overall aim of this thesis is to answer to the following questions:How and to what extent is the right to education protected in an emergency situation? Was a human right-based approach put in place by humanitarian actors in Haiti in 2010? In fact, he right to education has always to be respected, protected and fulfilled, even during emergency situations. After considering the international legal instruments that exists about the right to education, the thesis focuses on the specific case of Haiti.
