The aim of this study was to investigate the learning and teaching of sound design in higher education contexts. Two main aspects were examined: firstly, an investigation into published resources, addressing sound design as creative practice, and, secondly, an examination of the relationship between technical process and creative skills development within curriculum design. The perceived educational benefits were also investigated, of collaborative projects and other practical exercises, contrasting them with technical, skills-based learning.
