This study aims at investigation the following questions; if the English communication level the students majoring elementally school teacher certificate correlate with their motivation to study English and teach English at elementally schools, what motivational strategies are necessary to raise and maintain students’ motivation to study English, and if the students English communication level affects the preferable strategies. The participants of the study are 1,127 students of A university in Saitama, and B university in Chiba.
