Major depressive disorder is a common mental disorder that occurs in a lot of individuals around the world and can greatly impact a person’s life. Autobiographical memories are the memories a person has about various life events and events that are happening around the world. Major depressive disorder is known to have a great influence on how autobiographical memories are recalled and interpreted. This meaning that individuals with major depression have a harder time recalling positive autobiographical memories and specific details associated with them.
