Lungengängige Wirkstoffpartikel müssen eine Partikelgröße von 1 bis 5 m besitzen. Dadurch weisen sie schlechte Fließeigenschaften auf und sind kohäsiv. Dies führt zu schlechter Reproduzierbarkeit bei volumetrischer Dosierung und wird durch das Aufbringen auf ein gröberes Trägermaterial mit besseren Fließeigenschaften verändert. Während des Inhalationsprozesses muss sich der Wirkstoff vom Trägermaterial lösen, um in die Lunge zu gelangen. Deshalb wurde in dieser Arbeit das Verhalten von sprühgetrocknetem und mikronisiertem Wirkstoff (Salbutamolsulfat), der auf einen unmodifizierten und modifizierten Träger (-Laktose Monohydrat) aufgebracht wurde, verglichen.
