The article deals with the symbolic imagery used in V. S. Solovyov’s poetry to recreate unearthly beautiful Sophian worlds as the preimage of the ideal eternal home. The study considers the symbolic, philosophical and mystical meaning of Solovyov’s poems. The analysis of his famous poem “Three Meetings” reveals the origins and specificity of the opposition between wandering temporal life and desire for eternal Home, which can be expressed by the antithesis ‘earthly homelessness – heavenly abode’, common for Solovyov’s outlook.Белорусский государственный университет, Минск65-8
