Die Dissertation untersucht die fermentative Erzeugung von Biowasserstoff und Biomethan. Die höchste H2-Produktion bis 280 Nl H2/kg oTS zeigten die Substrate Futter-, Zuckerrübe, Mais und Kartoffel. Der erwartete Energiegewinn der kombinierten H2- und CH4-Erzeugung liegt ca. 25 % höher als bei konventionellen Biogasanlagen, so dass das Verfahren eine vielversprechende Methode zur umweltfreundlichen und nachhaltigen Energieerzeugung aus Biomasse bzw. Bioabfällen darstellt.
