This book draws upon a range of different studies, including original work on the phenomenon of 'being in the zone', in order to demonstrate the interconnections and disjunctions between inner and outer, social worlds by exploring the status of relationships between the unconscious, feelings, emotions and affects and the making of selves and of collectivities in the expanding field of psychosocial studies. The book maps out the key concerns and issues in the field of the psychosocial and argues for the possibilities and promise of psychosocial studies and of distinctively psychosocial methodologies
