In this chapter we aim, primarily, to look at the educational status of children and young people suffering with a chronic illness, whose forced separation from the school environment together with the illness itself, highlight a set of specific needs which, cannot always be covered by the teaching staff in the Hospital Schools and the Home Care services. The problems that these children face is discussed together with how their specific needs can be addressed with the use of different types of information technologies, more commonly known as Web 2.0 tools, which in turn support a social constructivist learning framework.
