This book conceptualises the study of Jewish-Christian relations as a multi-disciplinary field of inquiry. The essays examine such questions as the contribution of Jewish scholars to the quest for the historical Jesus, the public reception of Elie Wiesel, images of Christianity in modern Hebrew and Yiddish literature, Jewish-Christian relations and the cinema. Most of the essays were originally delivered at the research seminar of the Centre for the Study of Jewish-Christian Relations or at its international Telling Tales conference in summer 2004
