AbstractThis paper deals with iterative algorithms for domain decomposition applied to the solution of a singularly perturbed convection-diffusion problem with regular boundary layers. These algorithms are based on a finite-difference domain decomposition approach and on a modified Schwarz alternating method. Convergence properties of the algorithm are established, and their parallel implementations are discussed. Numerical results for a test singularly perturbed problem are presented
