Creativity in poetic expression: A contrastive analysis of pseudo-longinus

AbstractThis paper is an endeavour to explore the divine reality that creativity in Art, particularly in poetry, is not confined to the use of formalistic poetic style and language. Language of art is a way as well as a mean in itself. The writer flows ahead in mind, body and soul in a state of divine frenzy. With the linguistic and stylistic analysis of an Urdu poem ‘Departmental Store mein’ [In a Departmental Store], by a Pakistani poetess Parveen Shakir, I try to show that the poetess ascends beyond the poetic boundaries.
