AbstractSerrated lesions in the lower gastrointestinal tract can be subclassified as hyperplastic polyps and serrated adenomas. Serrated adenomas have a potential risk for transformation into colorectal carcinoma. Detection and differentiation of serrated lesions is therefore important.
