AbstractThe process of relocating street vendors causes a lot of harm both physical and non-physical. The clashes are usually triggered by misperception between the government and street vendor. Most street vendors thought that the government ignored their aspiration, while the government thought that the presence of street vendors disturb the traffic flow. Different situation happened in Surakarta, where street vendor in Surakarta voluntarily moved through the specific area prepared by municipal government.
