AbstractIn this paper we discuss the convergence behavior of the nonlinear inexact Uzawa algorithm for solving saddle point problems presented in a recent paper by Cao [Z.H. Cao, Fast Uzawa algorithm for generalized saddle point problems, Appl. Numer. Math. 46 (2003) 157–171]. We show that this algorithm converges under a condition weaker than that stated in this paper
